A note left hereBukchon Hanok Village gives a nice look at traditional Korean houses right in Seoul, and I liked that part of the visit. It does get very crowded, though, with plenty of people and vehicles passing through, so it takes away a bit of the calm atmosphere. It’s also important to be respectful since people live there. A lot of visitors were renting hanbok for photos, which added to the scene.
A note left hereVery hot in summer, take your umbrella or hat in summer times. No entrance fee. But in the village you can find special traditional courses with low price like handmade ceramic painting, handmade gift production which take 50 minutes - 1 hour. You must be quite when traveling not to disturb locals.
A note left hereVery cool amalgamation of the old world and new. Beautifully restored homes you can walk through to get a taste of the historic neighborhood. Lots of cute (but expensive) souvenir shops, cafes and restaurants. Grab a coffee and walk around, be aware the area closes at 5pm and there are "no noise" zones throughout the neighborhood to preserve some peace for the residents.
