Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall

A note left hereWorth to visit just for enjoying the area, this monument is a beautiful piece of architecture, there is also nice park. At some hours you can see very modest military performance. I am evaluating just the architecture and the area, legacy of Chiang Kai Shek is controversial, not my favourite historical figure. Unfortunately you can’t learn anything about the past here, people come here just to take pictures, I doubt everybody knows who the guy this monument is worshipping truly is.

A note left hereVery scenic and beautiful memorial hall. An enjoyable experience and definitely worth a visit. You are able to walk around even after "closure" time, which is simply for the hall at the top of the stairs. There is a changing of the guard ceremony every hour. At 6pm, the doors atop the stairs leading to the memorial hall are closed. A short time after, roughly 10 minutes, the flag, located centrally in the venue, is then lowered.

A note left hereReally great place. It was a really big place and the structure, buildings and walls are so nicely built. Easy to explore although it was really hot. Great place to visit when you’re in Taipei, Taiwan.
