Edinburgh Castle

A note left hereHighly recommend a booked tour, the information & craic is fantastic. I booked mine through Viator, we met at st.giles & our guide was Toni. The facts, legends, myths Toni shared were amazing, even got a song at the end. Weather was good so the views were amazing. The history is so enjoyable you can't help "feeling it", the battles were immense. The 1 o'clock gun is all part of the history & experience.The Castle IS Edinburgh.

A note left hereThis place was absolutely beautiful! I recommend to get your leg days in because it’s a lot of uphill walking on uneven ground! It’s a little crowded but not bad. I recommend not taking the audio guides and instead just reading the signs at the places themselves. I also recommend just grabbing a map and leading yourself around rather than with a tour guide.

A note left hereI was really not awarw that there was no way to find a ticket the very same day I wanted to visit the castle. I was incredibly lucky to find a ticket through a third party website. We were a small group and our guide David was very informative. I learnt a lot of interesting things about the castle and it's surroundings. I highly recommend to buy tickets in advance and if you have the option, take a guided tour. I would visit again.
