Joke aside, seeing the Great Sphinx in person was an incredible experience. Love it. It’s much more impressive than I expected and definitely one of the highlights of visiting Giza.

We visited the Great Sphinx of Giza on a weekday morning in January 2026 as part of a large group touring Egypt. Approaching through the ancient temple complex near the second pyramid of Khafre added a sense of ceremony to the experience.
