A note left hereSpectacular collection and views of the Doha skyline. Best place for the sunset. Wonderful courtyard and wonderful place to escape the heat. No temporary exhibition at the moment but it took around two hours to enjoy the first two floors with plenty of item descriptions. I would recommend spending 2 to 3 hours, not including the gift shop.
A note left hereA huge museum and a lovely building. 5 floors of exhibits covering art, daily life, religion, warfare and trade. The top floor exhibits were not open when I visited, but there are plenty of other things to see. Great skyline views from inside and outside the building too. Tickets for adults are 25QAR.

If you have an interest in history, art, or culture, this museum is absolutely worth visiting. I would recommend setting aside at least three hours to properly explore the galleries.
A useful tip: bring your headphones and use the audio guides. They add valuable context and help explain the significance and history behind many of the exhibits.
