A note left hereVery famouse and iconic castle. This also makes it very busy. In summer the tickets are sold out for weeks in advance, but usually in the morning some last minute tickets are made available for the day. This way we managed to book a guided tour inside. The tours start every 5 minutes, so it's packed also inside. Photography inside is not allowed, but the interiors are bombastic and very well maintained.

A note left hereIt is the best castle in the world for a reason. The hike there builds anticipation. Entering the courtyard and the castle itself is the ultimate reward. The details inside are astonishing, unreal even. I recommend eating prior to the hike, hiking on foot and not using buses and horse carriages buying the ticket in advance as the guides are well organized, and taking in the scenery. Worth it.
