A note left hereThe ferry lines to the island and back to Battery Park can be very long. There is almost no shade, so be sure to bring a sun umbrella or a hand fan and plenty of water.
I highly recommend the pizza, fish and chips, and lemonade from the food court next to the gift shop—they were all delicious. There are plenty of outdoor tables, and if you prefer to sit inside, there are about five or six tables as well as several standing bar tables where you can enjoy your meal.
