Taroko Gorge

A note left herethe prettiest marbled mountain gorge i’ve ever seen. it’s very long with pristine water. unfortunately many hiking spots are closed from the recent earthquake.

A note left hereThis is the current timetable of their construction work. During these times the checkpoints are open. There are 3 checkpoints (see map). So your visit will require a little bit of planning (I'd suggest to come at 7-8 am and drive through all the checkpoints so you have enough time and can do a slower drive on your way back). But it's definitely worth it! Especially in the morning there are barely any tourists and it's very beautiful :)

A note left hereA must-visit destination for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. Due to the 2024 earthquake, some trails are still closed, so it’s best to check with the visitor center for accessible routes. For those just passing by, there’s a terrace trail right outside the center. The paths are well-maintained, and the views are impressive. Highly recommended!
